Joey Kingpin began experimenting with guitars and beats up in the quiet east bay hills overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. He would display his skills for friends at Friday night house parties. Hype from those original demos eventually reached the ears of a producer at MTV in New York.

Those early raw songs immediately started appearing on episodes of MTV shows. All of this licensing culminated with Joey signing a record deal with New York based indie label Radikal Records. His debut 'Joey Kingpin' album, ‘A Beat Down In Hell Town’, was released soon thereafter. Highlights from that period include Joey Kingpin music appearing in the Touchstone Pictures film Big Trouble and his song "Sweet Valley" used as the theme for the Mary-Kate and Ashley In Action! animated cartoon series.

Joey has returned with his latest full-length album titled ‘Stereo Thriller’.

The Joey Kingpin catalog of music includes side projects 'The Carnies Deluxe' and 'Envision Music LTD’.
